The longest common border in the world, U.S./Canada border is an efficient, collaborative marketplace that provides trade and investment, consumer protection, innovation, security and connectivity. More than $475 billion worth of goods cross it annually.

By working together we can not only maintain a seamless, secure supply chain we can make the most of our partnership to advance the Great Lakes Region.

At the Forum a new web-based resource to assist manufacturing firms with cross-border information will be unveiled.

About the Logistics and Border Group
The Logistics and Borders Work Group’s goal is (1) to create seamless borders between political jurisdictions in the Great Lakes; and (2) to ensure that the best logistics infrastructure in the world rests in the Great Lakes Region.  Strategies include:

  • Creating an Internet-based Catalogue of Relevant Border and Customs Programs for GLMC Members
  • Convening Peer to Peer Workshops Addressing Cross-Border Programs
  • Fostering Government and Business Dialogue
  • Developing a Great Lakes Logistics Mapping Project.
